Technical Questions
Which length fork tines should I choose?

It is common to think that longer forks are always better.  But this is not always the case.  The kind of work you do with your tractor should guide your selection.  Here are a few examples to help.

Reasons for favoring longer fork tines:

  • Moving items like brush piles, stacks of logs
  • Reaching deeper into an enclosed area, like a truck bed
  • Moving large evenly distributed palletized loads needing extra support

Reasons for favoring shorter fork tines:

  • Moving smaller, denser items,
  • Moving loads where the center of gravity can be favored closer to the loader (should be anyway)
  • Tips of tines are easier to control as they are adjusted up and down
  • Ground engagement work (digging/tilling)
  • Building stone walls, patios, and other landscaping work
  • Prying up objects like roots and stones, slabs of concrete or asphalt
  • Working in tight areas, such as around trees, buildings and vehicles
  • Moving heavy loads that require the least amount of dead weight as possible
  • Shorter tines, being lighter, are easier to lift and handle
  • Less storage space required

As a starting point, appropriate fork size would generally be:

  • Subcompact Tractors (Deere 1000 Series): 36" tines
  • Midframe Tractors (Deere 2000 Series): 42 or 36" tines
  • Compact Tractors (Deere 3000 & 4000 Series): 42" tines

The 36" tines work fine for moving pallets.

Why isn't the Backrest built into the pallet fork frame?
There are a few reasons for this.
  1. To keep the system as lightweight as possible whenever the backrest is not needed.
  2. Unlike other brands, our pallet fork frames do not depend on them for stiffness and rigidity.
  3. Visibility is improved without a backrest so it only needs to be mounted when required.
  4. With the Backrest removed, you can lift objects higher up without hitting a low ceiling, such as for stacking your attachments on garage shelving.
  5. With the Backrest removed, you can get generally better access in areas with obstructions, such as pickup truck caps.
  6. Some people don't see the need for a Backrest and others insist on having one at all times so, it's optional.
  7. To ship our fork sets by ground parcel services, the backrest must be separate.
  8. With the backrest as a separate component, Artillian forks can be disassembled and easily handled, such as for seasonal storage or for packing into a vehicle for transportation.
  9. Our backrest can always be added later!

When is a Backrest most needed on the pallet fork frame?
  • Handling loads that are significantly taller than the 22" tall fork tines and fork frame
  • Moving piles of brush
  • Moving piles of logs
  • Moving an object that needs to be tied down from a high point

Will the Artillian Fork Frame Attachments work on other brands of pallet fork frames?
Our pallet fork frames have been designed to be useful for much more than just pallet forks.  No other manufacturer/importer of pallet forks has features that our pallet fork frames have.  Our Fork Frame Attachments (2" Receiver Adapter, 3pt Quick Hitch Adapter, 54 Plow Adapters, Grapple, etc) depend on these unique features to function safely.

Therefore, our Fork Frame Attachments will only work, and are only available, to customers of our pallet fork frames.

Is there a way to use the Artillian pallet fork frame on the tractor rear 3pt hitch?
Our Pallet Fork Frames are optimized for highest lift capacity and lowest weight.  For these reasons, there isn't a good way to add the features necessary to attach the frame to a 3pt hitch.  Our recommendation would be to purchase a dedicated set of 3pt hitch pallet forks.

Is Artillian design and engineering information available for request?
Artillian products are the result of extensive investment, engineering and development.  Consequently, our design information is proprietary.

Sales Questions
When will I be charged for my order?
When an order is placed on our website, your credit card gets authorized for the order total.  We do not actually complete the charge until your order is in the process of being shipped or made ready for pick up.

Aside from you not having to pay for your order until it ships, this also offers us the ability to reduce the amount charged if your actual shipping cost is lower than the amount generated by the website.

What should I do if an item is Out of Stock?
We try our best to keep the stock levels on our website up to date at all times.  If something is shown as being "Out of Stock", rest assured that we are working to replenish the supply as quickly as possible.

The best thing to do is to go ahead and place your order!  We ship items in sequence so the oldest backorders get shipped first in these situations.

If you are concerned about being charged, we do not charge your credit card until your order ships, but you can always choose the "Please Contact Me For Payment" payment type during checkout.  In that case, we will call for your card information when we are about to ship your order.

Do you discount grouped items?
We manufacture high quality products in a relatively specialized marketplace.  Our prices are always kept as low as possible for all items and for all customers.  Any available sales prices or other incentives should be shown on our home page.  Remember that ordering multiple items will reduce the overall shipping cost per item!

How long does it take for an order to ship?
In Stock items should normally ship in 1-3 business days, barring unusual circumstances.

When an item is shown as "Out of Stock", you can still place your order.  When items run out of stock, we are always working to replenish them as quickly as possible.  Your order will remain in queue with the highest priority placed upon it to get shipped as soon as possible.

When ordering several items and some are Out of Stock, we will use discretion as to whether it makes sense to partial ship or hold the order until all items are available.  You can always discuss this with us and we will accommodate your needs as much as possible.

What forms of payment do you accept?
-We can readily accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit/debit cards through our website or by phone.

Orders can be placed right on our website or we are happy to take your order by phone as well!

What if I bought the wrong item?
Unwanted items returned are subject to a restocking fee which will depend on the condition of product when returned.  Items being returned must be unused.

Shipping Information

Shipping within the Continental U.S. International & Non-Contiguous U.S. Shipping

Our products range from less than 1 pound to over 70 pounds.  Every order brings unique combinations of products which require the consideration of multiple shipping resources.

Fedex Ground and USPS are both "parcel" services which deliver packages right to your door.  Truck freight becomes more cost effective for heavier shipments.

In any case, you will be provided with tracking information by email once the order ships so you will know when it should arrive.

What if I have issues taking delivery of my shipment?

-FedEx allows you to "Customize Delivery".  When you receive the tracking emails from FedEx, look under the Delivery Options section for the Customize Delivery button.  Click on this and you will be shown options that are available to you.

-Truck Freight shipments will require someone to take delivery.  Alternatively, you can always contact the freight company and request the shipment be held for pickup at their terminal or to discuss other options.

If you would like to check on the cost of freight shipping before ordering, you can call or send an email with the following information:

  1. Product(s) being considered (model numbers and quantities)

  2. Your delivery zip code or country & postal code

  3. Whether you would prefer to receive your shipment via:

    • Delivery to a business with a shipping dock or forklift (the least expensive option for freight shipments)

    • Delivery to a business without a shipping dock or forklift

    • Delivery to a residence

    • Pick up at a local shipping terminal

    • Pick up at an international shipping port

    • Feel free to offer more than one option!
